i inherited website @ new job.  have 0 experience building websites, let alone dw , have been through beginning tutorial.  feel ready make first edits website.    we have 2 servers, test , remote.  have files saved in c: under wamp folder.  when connected test server, folder structure doesnt change, folders turn red.  if folders not red, working local file?  if folders turn red, working testing server copy?  , if red folders, why file path still same, c:\wamp etc...?   thanks -   john sounds right.    i have local site folder inside wamp/www/  when save local files in dw, they're saved in testing server.  allows me see parsed content in live view or live code.        nancy o. hello,   my employer purchased adobe suite cs6. use after effects job. have been getting following error whenever attempt render quicktime format.:   "after effects error: rendering error while writing file "c:\users\user1\desktop\file_name.mov". output module failed. file may damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)"     i have searched solutions online. rebooted machine after reinstalling latest quicktime; deleted queued renders; made sure switch compatibility "afterfx.exe" windows 7. have grabbed recent updates.   one of our clients has asked files delivered in quicktime format. nice find resolution issue soon. aguidance issue in advance.   i glad provide machine specs if necessary. two questions:   what quicktime codec indicated in delivery specifications?   and more fundamental.... do have quicktime installed on machine?  if so, version? (at moment makes fail, had not anticipated such situation can occur.)   this issue not technically severe in can adapt code without great difficulty. anyway seems raise serious question. to date assumed that: 1. custom submenus application-persistent (which still true here, of course!) but 2. custom menuitems only session-persistent.

i in facility has 20 mac machines on network. work off files located on san. experiencing problem getting preview files stay linked when project open on different machine.   i ran bunch of tests rendered section on own machine. rendered section, saved, closed reopened on same machine. renders fine. changed location of project file several times, , renders still fine, project path didn't make difference (by way, scratch disk location set folder on our san, not default "same project").   then ran tests rendering section, saving , reopening project on different machine, , renders disappear. red bars accross. has else experienced this? tried combinations of checking , unchecking media cache box, pointing path location on san instead of local user application support folder, still no luck. without distributed processing option, need able render, say, overnight exports don't take forever.   also, have double checked make sure preview files in fact there, , haven't moved

using adobe cq 5.4     i trying upload asset scene7 dam. workflow model has been configured. when click on "publish scene7", message "publishing failed". upload did work, though, because asset in scene7.   the scene7 workflow ecma script not log of relevance. problem seems come cq-dam-scene7-5.4.0.jar. log shows 3 consecutive *info* entries (coming jar file), entry:   10.01.2013 16:06:37.620 *error* [jobhandler: /etc/workflow/instances/2013-01-10/model_1357851996443285000:/content/dam/saq/matthieu/mo untain.png] etc.workflow.scripts.uploadscene7asset$ecma failed   so while upload worked, on cq side dam asset never gets updated reflect this. causes scene7 sidekick components not work @ all.   has encountered similar? there's exact same problem here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4656056#4656056 it's cq 5.5. using 5.4. hello, i don't script photoshop, i'm not in forum often, i'm having problem this.  here's small sample of what's become bridgetalk message illustrator.  i'm trying copy artwork illustrator, create new document in photoshop , place it.  have code that, comes halt (when photoshop gets involved):   app.documents.add(); var thisdoc = app.activedocument; thisdoc.artlayers.add(); thisdoc.paste();     i'm copying artwork clipboard in illustrator , pasteing it.  works fine.  but, when try paste(true), keep getting infamous error code 8800 general photoshop error occurred.  functionality may not available in version of photoshop.  can tell on net, error tied lot of photoshop scripting problems.   the paste(true) syntax in reference, know it's available version.  i've tried ctrl-alt-del clear preferences , i've tried small piece of code on identical machine- windows 7, , i've tried on both 32 , 64 bit editions of photoshop.    can tell me error , how f

i looking way determine scale amount when entering fullscreen. seems should n easy 1 after lot of searching not seeing anything.   to explain. have button when clicked enters fullscreen mode , scales accordingly. starting stage width 1024 , after scaling 1024. of content still reads original widths , heights because highter parent 1 scaled. can read fullscreenwidth wich new width. can't go stage.fullscreenwidth/stage.width because don't know if content fit monitor first width or height (ok checking fullscreenwidth against fullscreenheight there should easier way). seems there should easy window.scale or find how content had scale fit screen.   any help? you can actual resolution of users display via system.capabilities More discussions in Archived Spaces adobe

hi there, foks, i've been burning along in ae cs6, loving far, although have discovered couple quirks.  perhaps i'm doing wrong.  can let me know!    1) have set resolution auto when change different resolution magnification doesn't automatically readjust.  example, have resolution set half , magification set 50%.  if change resolution 25% magnification remains @ 50% , looks awful.  not have preserve resolution checked in compositions advanced settings.  there other place need enable automatic shifting?   2) importing layered photoshop files have consecutively numbered names creates chaos!  example, artist supplied me 5 photoshop files of painted cactuses.  each has 3 layers.  named cactus1, cactus2, cactus3, etc... when import them, first works, others come in 4frm duration can't altered (i've set import durations 30 seconds) , malfunction badly.  when change names cactusone, cactustwo, etc... imports correctly.  new in ae, or kind of bug?   many thoughts, folks!

've justed returned lovely ubuntu after years of non-linux os. anyhow, have toshiba l630 14c laptop, ubuntu seemed recognizing must of hardware, although i'm using 2 external screens besides laptop screen (which want turn off). moment, usb display adepter recognized, gets green right away, though can't insert him xorg.conf since x crashes, issue screen, using usb adapter doesn't send eeid , x doesn't know how use it. tried override eeid , still didn't work. since 2 of screens same, tried 'tricking' copying eeid file vga (recognized) screen usb connected one, kinda worked since other screen recognized though display not good, couldn't refresh self , see pixels when move mouse. @ moment have displaylink drivers installed, green screen, though doesn't sends eeid making x not start properly. ideas guys? bonjour, je suis actuellement en train de développer une application en php/js pour mon boulot. et elle va devoir travailler avec des fichiers pdf. j'ai trouvé cette source sur internet (voir ce lien ) qui permet de piloter le plug-in acrobat reader en js. je voulais savoir maintenant si vous pouviez m'aider pour récupérer le numéro de la page qui est actuellement active ? vous pourrez retrouver dans l'exemple le pdf qui permet de faire les automations ole, mais je n'ai pas réussi à comprendre la logique du bidule. en gros il me faudrait récupérer un objet pdpage mais je ne sais pas du tout comment faire ! en vous remerciant par avance. pour tout ce qui est des scripts en js, je vous recommande l'excellent site abracadabrapdf qui devrait savoir répondre à vos questions les plus pointues. i'm old adobe user (since late 80s), , let me start off saying 1 thing particularly adobe suite of software how integrates together. however, there still wierd inconsistencies wish they'd fix. name few examples, why in photoshop middle mouse button roller zooms in , out, while in illustrator moves image , down? why can drag out guides ruler in photoshop have draw line , convert in illustrator? new features adobe comes much, see adobe getting same rut autodesk in maya; lots of great new stuff no fixes on basic interface problems they've had on decade. there movement within adobe fix these kinds of things?   thanks much,   andacar (i'm old too.)    ... can drag guides out rulers in illustrator (v. 16.2.0), no problem. version running? i heard deadline id ace recert february 15.   can please exaplain something? in several textbooks, white paper adobe states:   for ace certification specific adobe product, recertification is required of each ace within 90 days of designated ace exam release date. there are no restrictions on number of times may take exam within given period.   i went in retake (yes, epub kicked butt i'm not swimming yet) , got message saying had wait 2 weeks. i'm little nervous.   anyone know what's that?   tia. hi all, have hp dv4 2040us. i've had issues wifi since go wireless connection cut out @ random. thought issue driver used ndiswrapper tool in software center install driver card (atheros ar298x). after reboot, can longer access wireless, unless can fix, laptop grounded wired internet. appreciated, thanks. edit- update: i've uninstalled windows driver, not showing wireless card ever. know how can reinstall ubnutu drivers? bump. i've gotten wireless working again using sudo modprobe -a ath9k allows me turn on original wireless driver. know of way make stick? issue i'm still running have use code on every boot, there way have starts on boot? hello! i export products in csv improved, delete them in vm2 , after try re-import them using csv improved. see 2 zeros in prices , no images after import done. see attached files. guess import template use correct, 'cos use same settings when import using different .csv file , job fine. though .csv file made not me. can't sure... suspect maybe export settings should corrected. don't know sure. not familiar joomla extension. have idea??? it looks csv used comma separator decimal points , not dot commonly used in english countries. csv has 100 , 00 instead of 100 . 00. i suppose software should have option choose decimal & 1000 separator. have checked manual of csv improved or support forum? no matter working on, browser displays design correctly after first viewing. there on if make changes html or css, save , try preview again shows design previous time. if wait little bit , try preview again shows correctly, wait time varies. same thing happens if go folder , open index.html. if preview in adobe browser lab shows right. getting annoying because can't preview changes make see if working. are refreshing browser view? hi all, i have slideshow on website want main menu sit on top of (with reduced opacity make nice). i'm stuck how achieve this. do need assigned same position? (if assign them same position, opacity rule applies slideshow aswell menu don't want happen). any pointers appreciated! cheers. you styles in stylesheet, if stylesheet savvy. assign them same position in module manager , give them both module class suffix names in advanced tab module. helps target them individual class names. use firebug determine how target each item, , possibly containing elements, specifically. the outer container position , each of module elements need positioning z-index applies. make outer container , slideshow "position: relative". make slideshow "z-index: 10". make menu container "position: absolute" , set "z-index: 20".
