hi i've manually installed (a 2nd time now) v3.4.1 download joomla site. unzipped locally , uploaded files. remote hosting server, not local one. created new sql database ran joomla install pages all seems fine until select "users, menus, content, components" main top menu, "503 service temporarily unavailable". if refresh page displays fine...but can't keep doing this! extensions menu works fine, system menu. oddly enough, using control panel options reach "users, menus, content, components" works ok...no errors!! it's going pain keep accessing control panel anything... any ideas what's going on? i've done 2 installs , have both done same. suggests somethings not set up, what? thanks steve set error_reporting maximum , check more error. do use .htaccess file? hi all, i'm working script else posted creating joomla menu in wordpress theme without using wordpress joomla. have site we're creating want use wordpress our blogging platform , joomla our main site. wordpress location /blog in our main directory. , our goal have menu in wordpress site automatically update if changes in joomla site. i've started last script person posted here: viewtopic.php?f=615&t=712347#p2799224 this works great , figured out how have script go 2 levels deep (which need in case) how have script assign appropriate classes navbar , drop down menu links. it's bit different main site's code, it's working. but have 2 problems can't wrap head around. problem 1 how have script not assign drop down class if there isn't child menu item - or visa versa, assign drop down class if there child. i'm not sure how test see if there child , if so, include drop down class, else no class. right now, have 4 links children (sub links in drop down

hi all, here's strange situation. 3 of students have had pucker , bloat tools in liquify tear holes in images. mean pucker hard transparent pixels appear @ liquify point. tools set on defaults -- not overly strong strength or rate.   what gives? 3 of culprits on windows machines... (mid 2011 imacs windows os).  students on mac had no problem.   oh, 1 of students problem having liquify tools creating tiny copies of whole image *inside* torn "holes"-- if image being turned inside out!   anyone else having this? can explain? i found passing references on internet, nothing helpful.     edited add: i've noticed couple of weird things machines having problem: the reconstruct tool , reconstruct button cause holes torn... tools, holes repeated run in nylon. have updated video card drivers on machines? have installed photoshop updates? hi, one site left go 2.5.28 3.3.6. backed live site , loaded backup on dev site. extracted akeeba, no hitches (yay!) went through packages, components, modules, plugins: removed unwanted, updated , ran update according instructions ( https://docs.joomla.org/joomla_2.5_to_3 ... _migration ). after upgrade had site looked using 2.5.28 admin template footer said 3.3.6. (see attached). front end white! because dev site wasn't worried , deleted , started again. the same has happened again pages work - rest (e.g. menu manager) white. hi, after trying many distros found stable distro user-friendly (ubuntu), came across problem temperatures. seem high: harddisc: /dev/sda: wdc wd3200bevt-22zct0: 57°c other: acpitz-virtual-0 adapter: virtual device temp1: +57.0°c (crit = +95.0°c) temp2: +52.0°c (crit = +95.0°c) k10temp-pci-00c3 adapter: pci adapter temp1: +61.0°c (high = +70.0°c) acpitz-virtual-0 looks ok. k10temp-pci-00c3 gets 69. i have noticed weird problems acrobat x , xi when using huge documents (150 mb) made of scans.   when chose save image (jpg), if there 1630 pages, 1500 pages. weird!   if break pdf 1630 seperate pdfs , export 1 one - 1630 pages (all). likewase, can seperately images lost (so, cannot problem page(s))   as example, using copyright free book (public domain) http://archive.org/download/holiebiblecontey00lond/holiebiblecontey00lond.pdf cannot save image pages.   i have 4 gb ram , cpu meets spec.
