hello, been having kind of strange problem after installing 11.04 x64. when try reboot/poweroff machine begins shutdown process stops 3 orange dots frozen on screen, not occur every time shut down, , issuing poweroff/reboot command cli seems make no difference ( opposed using gnome interface shut down.) have done bit of searching on topic , have found other cases same problem, have yet find fix it. appreciated. -thanks did syslog and, maybe, /var/log/xorg.0.log , ~/.xsession-errors? log files may contain valueable information. ughh.... been few months since stopped using cs6 encore because loves crash kinds of bad reasons. today needed new project, , used simple 1920x1080p mp4 file created adobe media encoder, , used basic menu template in encore. added slideshow timeline 1 mp3 audio set loop. during building image part of build process, fatal error code 6, audio buffer underflows. total bitrate high neat time = 0.00000 seconds -   first off, set br transcode setting auto , spends  pleanty of time transcoding file 15mbps bitrate, why encore not first taking care of source files correctly in transcoding...? ok.... 100% fault of software. se, , build systems time business, if knew of these simple problems, id go code , devise solution...please adobe, fix encore.   here simple finding solving problem (first post):   - of 2 simple mp4 files produced media encoder, one, runs 2 minutes, had peak of little on 10mbps. dropped file encoder , set same mp4 profile max of 6mbps , replaced file in encore project, ran b

i formatted linux ext3 partition before installing karmic koala, version 9.10, did clean install of version 9.10. have used last 3 different versions of ubuntu, 8.04, 8.10, , 9.04, hardly problems, after installing version 9.10, have had nothing problems. new version 9.10 has problems never experienced other versions of ubuntu. switched version, 9.04. here list of bothersome problems have had version 9.10. (1) had burn 9.10 iso file cd disk 3 times 1 had no errors. (with version 9.04, had burn 1 disk, , still works perfectly). used same software (nero) , same computer burn of cd disks, don't see how bad 9.10 disks hardware problem. (2) when tried install version 9.10, process failed @ least 4 times before got successful installation. computer locked up, , quit loading program cd installation disk. on exact same computer, never has happened version 9.04. (3) version 9.10 there no sound @ all; can't play cd's or mp3 files. (4) in versio
