hello, know obvious answer, have tough problem, considering i'm new ubuntu. installed ubuntu onto external hd, seemed simple me, since i'm on laptop hd space limited highly, wanted large partition figured put on 320gb seagate. attached 4port externally powered 2.0 hub. here's problem, not boot ubuntu unless im plugged hub , hub working on external power. "/host/ubuntu/disks/root.disk not exist. dropping shell" , fails. have searched google long time , try avoid forums as can. @ point i'm give up. frustration @ maximum, want use ubuntu on hd without powered hub, please me. welcome forums. many computers have power usb ports. why hub has have external power power device needs more power or not self powered. if looking root.disk, have installed wubi uses windows boot loader , runs inside ntfs partition. fine longer test of ubuntu can livecd , makes easy delete, not true dual boot. how avo

hi, have old fujitsu amilo laptop of low specs tried bring life. has built in wifi slot wifi network adaptor. 1 use linksys wpc54g v3 802.11 wireless g adapter. installed lubuntu 11.04 on machine ans went well. recognised built in wifi , assigned wlan0. when slotted in network adapter assigned wlan1. confirmed output of iwconfig. got net connected via ethernet , wlan0 no problems after failing connect wireless g adapter found firmware card needed upgrading. followed instructions posted "darth bane" in post : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=915449 after rebooting found wlan1 ( wireless g network adapter) had disappeared on outputs of iwconfig and iwlist scan commands. however, wlan0 ( built in wifi) show ( though down). reference card appear in output lspci -vnn on running sudo lshw -c network listed under *-network unclaimed. have manually assign card wlan1 using iwconfig ? initial finds on google suggest drivers not install

hi there!   i hope isn't duplicate; scoured forums , didn't find issue i'm experiencing...   i have course made of quiz questions.  upgraded captivate 6 , changed quiz use submit option (which have totally separate questions i'll post below).  each question slide 3 seconds in length.  in past, i've never had mess slide length because quiz/course pause, waiting action user.  when publish (flash 10, swf, scorm 1.2), quiz flies 1 question next (not waiting user input).  currently, feedback options separate slides (if correct, go slide x / if incorrect, go slide x) located @ end of course.     i've pulled submit button off side of each question slide (hoping hide - don't want user clicking until end of course.  there other way hide (aside making transparent , putting in area user may not click around)?    has experienced this?  think might issue?  i'm debating messing feedback slides , submit buttons don't want lot of work if don't have to.  spent ho
