hello, tried formating usb flash drive in windows , got stuck in end... after waiting 20 minutes disconnected ;( when replugged told format it... tried formating again , gave me error drive write protected... guessed didn't format correctly should pretty obvious... fired b|t4 r1 , tried 'sudo fdisk /dev/sdc' got message:

try gparted in live cd if necessary, or can install in ubuntu installation , use unmounted non-system partitions.

usb drive choose device, create partition table, , make ms-dos partition table. should able make new fat32, or other filesystem type partition want on disk.
