Thread: Custom Button in Nautilus Toolbar

i've got nautilus-actions installed , interface adding custom toolbar seems simple enough can't work. oh, i've gotton icon appear on toolbar when link script nothing happens. here script testing with, verify had gotten nautilus-actions work:

touch '/media/fat-wd-r5/script testing sandbox/emptytester'

the script expect when double click run nautilus or drag terminal creates empty file named "emptytester" clicking button on nautilus toolbar nothing.

tried killall nautilus , relogging. still doesn't work.

i'd solve in general way can use nautilus-actions other stuff objective have button can click same thing file, create document, empty file. create file, or more accurately suppose directory entry, , name whatever enter no more steps necessary. if can button run script or command planned on trying write script using zenity or dialogue task. if knows other way without taming nautilus-actions i'd interested. point make easy possible create , name empty file because frequently.

if can point out i'm doing wrong nautilus-actions or point me toward step-by-step tutorial on using create custom buttons (not show buttons latent unseen functions nautilus knows how do) or suggest way this, i'd appreciate either or both. tia.

script testing sandbox
you didn't escape spaces, yeah won't work.

touch '/media/fat-wd-r5/script\ testing\ sandbox/emptytester'

in wrong section, lubuntu different version use pcmanfm, there no nautilus.

try not use spaces in linux, better use - or _ or . or remember \
