After Effects and Sound

i aware following question need end on audition forum, wanted start here, have no idea begin, , forum has been helpful date! (and a firm believer flattery everywhere!)

as of aware (the regulars, is) working on project aimed @ young children, , aired on tv. surely getting point feel reasonable comfortable doing edit in premier, , compositing, green screening , adding effects in after effects.

 

my next great challange sound. start adobe audition, appreciate feedback on out there has worked produce project broadcast before. have read bbc tech specs starting point broadcast, , seems scary place!

 

i think first basic question this: do complete project edit in premier, sounds added , needed , then, using export features, able export project meet specific requirements. if remmeber correctly now, video, music , sound need sent in 3 seperate formats combined broadcaster.

 

is way works, , there few links can given "getting started" audition. looking purchase classroom in book, , learn video - peachpit type books on next few days.

my usual practice cut sound in ppro or finnal cut, rough mix, hire professional audio mixer finalize show mix , produce final sound track. use protools or audition. sound important , technician can more put professional polish on program in less time imagine if provide them right elements. it's more knowing how time elements , how run eq. cutting frequencies in music , boosting in voice track can make huge difference in how program sounds. also, absolutely cannot judge quality of sound mix unless have room set mixing. if thought getting greenscreen studio pain set wait until try , set proper sound mixing room. may sound great in editing suite, ok through set of headphones, when final program played in someone's family room mom making noise in kitchen dialogue may incomprehensible.

 

when of elements in place professional audio finisher can finalize mix hour program in 6 8 hours. money spent.

 

if want try must research setting sound mixing room, invest in proper speaker setup, equalize room, , prepared lot of trial , error. don't me wrong. can lot great pair of headphones , audition in spare room you're cutting program, difference between mix , perfect mix night , day when program played in different locations different acoustic properties. ask how many times you've played program @ home , had less perfect balance between dialogue, sound effects , music. @ home, more not, it's barely passable.
