Thread: Ubuntu shuts down when AC disconnected

hi all,

using msi x320 ubuntu 10.04 .

if unplug ac power, usual buggy message saying there little power remaining. machine shuts down. i've played power settings suspend/hibernate on low battery, , set "nothing" hand in gconf-editor. no avail. i've tried unticking setting gnome-power-manager/use_time_for_policy , no avail.

know not real battery problem, because can run long time if boot battery only. once plug in , plug out ac shuts down, or if boot ac , unplug shuts down.

thoughts?

solved. related ralink wireless card. fix, do:

code:
  cd /etc/pm/power.d sudo touch pcie_aspm sudo touch wireless

another fact: tried xubuntu 10.04 earlier, , didn't seem have problem.
