Thread: email "proxy" - conception question

hi!

i'm sorry if realy stupid question, i'm frustrated. work little admin 1 department @ university , our email-server, adminstrated university, not department, crashes, looses connection mailboxes, denies connections , on.
university seems not capable fix this.

thought: isn't possible build own "mail proxy". mail server has fetch new mails "real" server, stores them. if "real" server down again - talk proxy - deliver changes when "real" server responses again.

of time imap-server goes down, sending shouldn't main problem.

solution see far, setting own server , using fetchmail "copy" accounts. dream transparent solution. squid imap there solutions problem? maybe solutions don't need whole mailserver (i'm not sure if can build more resistent mail server - difference is, department smaller university )

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi i trying upgrade joomla 2.5.27 3.6. have checked requirements (i've upgraded site), purged cache , gone short term support, when click save & close told (as before) have latest joomla version - not offer me joomla 3.6 (or else). have suggestions please? thank you c you can download joomla 3.x update , install manually using joomla's extension installer. don't forget create backup before doing that.
