Could not update joomla with the FTP layer - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,

big problems update installation of joomla.
i enabled ftp layer , can modify online configuration file without problem.
i can update components without problems (jce example).
but can't update joomla itself.
for example deleting first file not changed (license.txt), created www-data user , not ftp user.

my current version of joomla 3.3.6 on ubuntu 14.04
rights of folders , files:
folders 750 utilisateur_ftp: www-data
files 640 utilisateur_ftp: www-data

i think in case, upgrade not use ftp layer www-data user.

hi i trying upgrade joomla 2.5.27 3.6. have checked requirements (i've upgraded site), purged cache , gone short term support, when click save & close told (as before) have latest joomla version - not offer me joomla 3.6 (or else). have suggestions please? thank you c you can download joomla 3.x update , install manually using joomla's extension installer. don't forget create backup before doing that.
