Help: CF10 (all hotfixes) on Win2K3 starts to consume up to 100% cpu (coldfusion.exe)

hi

we have cf9 latest updates running on win2k3 server  under apache 2.2.22 , jrun4 years. now, wanted upgrade cf10.

i first updated apache 2.2.23 ssl 1.0.1c

for reassurance, disabled jrun cf9 services seen in task manager.

then installed cf10. installer mentioend different  net ports. accepted them.

install continued without problem, cf10 setup , configured it. ran our main ap worked fine.

then, after few hours while checking health of it, figured that  coldfusion.exe takes cpu time.

server response  still there sluggish.i have not seen reason why cpu usage increases.

i have kill coldfusion.exe cut cpu load. however, few minutes after (about 10-20 minutes) coldfusion.exe again begins climb up. takes 5-10 minutes hit 100% ...

i have no idea how deal (except going cf9)

on developer cf10 (same config) have not seen behavior. howewer, server not exposed net, productive 1 ... there might deep links pointing somewhere ... however, our server not busy server, should not face such cpu load .. said ran under cf9 years without such problems.

any hints how detect cause of this? can use cf10 tools figure out problem?

any other clues that?

it's urging ... usual ...

thank

martin

hi martin. errors or warnings in log files cf10\cfusion\logs\ coldfusion-error.log coldfusion-out.log ?

how enable cf10 metrics logging, cf10admin > debugging & logging > debug output settings > check metrics.log after cf restart enable?

i know post cf10 update 5 wsconfig had webserver connector updates in case of windows , iis. guess apache using connector / extension / mod_jk have not been following cf10 update matters relate apache webserver. worth knowing if need apply cf10 wsconfig webserver update apache in use?

hth, carl.
