Thread: require suggestion about partitions.


i had dual boot..divided 40 gb of hard ubuntu , rast of windows xp.
partitions chose this.
/boot 100mb
/usr 10gb
/ 10gb
/home 20gb
/swap 1gb

according research on net there no reinstalling procedure of grub2 /boot recovering ubuntu after instalation of windows xp.(according last post of thread. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1803429 , procedure of reinstalling given on other sites. -thats not working.)
thats why decided ask proper partitions. can reinstall grub2 eaily whenever need install it..
whats recommendation?

use

/ 8gb
/home 31gb
/swap 1gb

no need separate /boot partition , /usr not user.
