Thread: Help with boot: "init" argument

i install kubuntu on usb stick have grub (i.e. not grub2) , puppy linux.

@ moment, file menu.lst follows:

code:
default 0 timeout 15 # # kubuntu menu entry title kubuntu root (hd0,1) kernel /casper/vmlinuz root=uuid=<uuid> ro quiet splash initrd /casper/initrd.lz
where <uuid> replaced uuid of (hd0,1) partition, in have copied contents of kubuntu 10.04.3 iso file.

when reboot pc, shows pink splash screen... http://scr3.golem.de/screenshots/100..._1004_beta.png (... can hear cd drive doing something, though live cd not therein)

... , stops booting, , brings me busybox command line because "no init found. try passing init= bootarg."

have no idea of parameter, not able find documentation or grub menu entry examples on internet, mentioned. appreciated. thanks.
