Please help! n00b w/several questions

i'm in process of making several modifications site , don't want update ftp site until go, i've included jpegs see problems. hope out there give me advice. 1 thing realize could've done differently create external style sheet css, instead of having css in source code. feel i'm far change now. part of problem of these questions? if so, there easy fix? sorry i'm bouncing around here, feel i'm way in on head , frustrations have gotten me point think web coding not me! i've come far website , don't want give on it. thank assisstance can give me. btw, here link site in case helps: http://turtlecell.com

 

 

1) had delete navigation menu item , adjusted width, it's leaving space between logo , start of menu, on pages. i'm @ wits end trying figure out why is. first image shows how should look. next 2 wrong.

 

2) reason, footer on main page misaligned.

 

 

3) also, you'll see in pic question 2 images have there (used lightbox) have white dash between each pic??

 

4) client has asked if can make site adjust in size whatever size monitor using. (he bought 30" monitor, of course content looks small). i've tried reading on , looks need use percentages make work, i'm having trouble knowing start! tried first making body tag 100%, container div 80%, messes up! need have every div set @ 80% (for example)?

1.  have header1 , header2 2 separate divs floated left , right.  should contained without 1 div either image floated left or menu floated right. both don't need floated , should in same container.  making background of container grey don't green space in between.

 

2.  footer - it's hard now. need see code changing figure out going on.

 

3.  check code spaces in between images, if not check css.

 

4.  again, need see code offer suggestions.  tough what's going on or start.  end discussing respsonive design or working frameworks bootstrap or 960gs.
