Thread: Random key "sticking"; KeyDown events repeat forever

this may not related hardware seems place start.

please see description of keyboard issue here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/60435...t-indefinitely

dell latitude 6520 running 64 bit 10.10

welcome forums!

use maverick (10.10 64bit)

have experienced same problem few months now. there seems no simple solution nor related stuff like: uptime, memory usage, cpu usage, network usage, database usage...

appears , can use mouse, save work , restart machine - if possible.

far have traced this, has ps2 keyboards, have never seen happen usb keyboard attached machine. bug filed ages ago (2+ years), went , forth assigned, critical, fixed, tamed, ... , other statuses (-would see changelog on -> "what exactly in source code changed, made fixed???") - kernel thing , altho flagged fixed, still present.

not hardware related or physical, key repeatedly "gets pressed", if physically unplug keyboard (so not because of keyboard stickiness or dust or that...)

ps. 'l', 'r', '3', 't', ... i've seen happen alt , other special keys...

external links, might want check out ...
launchpad bug report 194214, 124406, linux questions , "duplicates"

it's quiet huge list ... , don't see fixed ....
