Thread: Wireless driver on laptop needs to be enabled mannualy

i upgraded laptop ubuntu 8.04 latest xubuntu via synaptic package manager. uninstalled ubuntu via terminal command.

works fine, except wireless card. when login wireless connection unavailable , when go system > hardware drivers see wireless card's driver enabled unavauilable. if uncheck driver option , check option again, comes online , connection, laptop shows need restart. after restart, repeats again -- have enable card mannually again.

how can fix this?
