Advice on publishing Universal app


i close completion of new game published ipad , iphone (all models) , advice on publishing settings ensure works on ipad , iphone models , looks can each based on assets have available.

 

my flash movie 1024 x 768 , uses combination of png images such main background image , vector images such animated character.

 

the game educational game nothing performance hungry in theory.

 

i have ipad 2 , iphone 5 testing. looks great on ipad 2 of vector graphics such character looking bit distorted on iphone 5.

 

my publish settings follows:

 

aspect ratio: landscape

full screen [checked]

autio orientation [checked]

render mode [auto]

device [iphone , ipad]

resolution [standard]

 

i using flash cs6 , air 3.5

 

my previous app created ipad , had following actions in timeline on frame 1. don't have of this app - should i?

 

stage.scalemode = stagescalemode.show_all;

stage.align = stagealign.top_left;

stage.quality = stagequality.high;

 

any advice appreciated.

do intend iphone 5 version fill whole screen? using show , top left mean 1024x768 stage fill left end of iphone screen, , reveal content off of right side of stage. either don't set align, reveal content off of both sides of stage, or use no_border , no align. in mode there cropping of top , bottom of stage on iphone, , more cropping on iphone 5. whether matter depends on content have in area.

 

try other modes too, not auto. try direct first, if works auto things, may better other things. gpu give best performance, may run memory issues on ipad 1.

 

if want fill whole iphone 5 screen need include splash screen it, 640z1136 (your landscape scene rotated 90 degrees). file needs call default-568h@2x.png.
