Thread: How to remove ubuntu/grub without Windows CD?

so, wanted remove ubuntu sony. after deleting partitions contained ubuntu, looked online , said after grub removed, need windows cd (which don't have) or use hiren's boot cd. well, got hiren's boot cd , loaded computer on startup.

unfortunately, don't know once i've done that. when put cd in, load of options of run, don't know 1 going fix mbr. online instructions find said "use 1 of mbr tools" have no idea they're talking about.
