Thread: APT-CACHE reuse

i've installed ubuntu in 1 system , installed many software using apt-get command. know downloaded packages found @ /var/cache/apt/archives

now, i've installed ubuntu on system , need updrage packages once again.

if copy downloaded packages previous system new 1 @ same place, means /var/cache/apt/archives , run command apt-get install <some package> require download again or search inside cache & unavailable packages dowloaded?

if not possible that, should have not downloading again & again?

if correct version of package in archive,it use it instead of downloading again.this determined when updates package lists.

luck
