Slideshow Module: Slideshow getting stuck, won't auto-advance

we use lightroom 4.3 in our studio show our work clients.  1 of our slideshows based on smart collection of 5-star rated images.  before client comes in, we'll click on smart collection load images, go slideshow module , use preset we've created has our desired background color, fade time, etc.  , hit "play". 

 

recently particular combination not working properly.  after random number of images, slideshow stops advancing , appears "stuck".  if hit right arrow key on keyboard advance next image, nothing happens.  however, if hit right arrow key twice, skipping next image , going second image, slideshow continue.  stuck again after few slides.  thing can figure hitting arrow key twice, i'm skipping "bad" image doesn't want load.  can't tell image might be.  images held on screen seem different each time, because playing slides in random order.

 

is there way can figure out if there kind of "problem" images cause slideshow hang?  has else had problem?  or have different theory (other "bad" image theory) of might going on here?

 

updating 4.2 4.3 did not solve problem.

optimizing catalog did not solve problem.

using different slideshow preset not solve problem.

using different set of images prevent problem occurring, of course, need show these images. (ex: different smart collection doesn't contain same images.)

 

os: windows vista

images: combination of cr2 raw, psd, , jpeg

no error message.  slideshow gets stuck.

no recent changes computer or software aware of.

 

i had thought.  going go play slides not in random order , see if can find pattern.  in meantime, appreciated.

okay, answered own question.  thought unchecking "random order" , playing slides showed me problem files.  there handful of files had black circle exclamation point in them.  circle question mark goes if lr can't find file.  when clicked on exclamation point, said lr not access file, or that.  changed rating on images 5 stars down 4, removed them smart collection without having delete them catalog.  @ point, i'll go , figure out problem files, @ least slideshow , running!

 

the funny thing i've been google searching problem weeks no results.  post in forum , while typing question, figure out own answer.  go figure.  thought i'd post in case else has issue, because there's nothing anywhere else find. :-)
