Thread: Sharing Wifi in Ubuntu 11.04


hi there...

have issue discuss in forum..

sharing internet connection in ubuntu 11.04 nathy narwal

i've been searching , reading lot of documents , posts users this, , have not found solution.

first using win7, connected internet via wifi atheros wireless card have in laptop.

installed connectify share wifi connection , 100% functional:

i connected via wifi , sharing internet via wifi connectify (hotspot), , got no problems.


installed ubuntu 10.10, , upgraded 11.04, having problems wifi connection solved..

ive been reading not possible share connection via hotspot if not connected ethernet, , "how possible, windows can via hotspot (connectify) , ubuntu can't? cant believe it...

want ask community, know matter?

because set laptop in hotspot, still connected internet via wifi...

i have same problem!

found it's possible create bridge, allows kind of sharing, didn't make far since i'm not experienced user. can come rescue , explain things in comprehensive manner...

i'm not quite sure card in laptop, it's acer aspire 5738zg.
