Thread: Wireless Troubleshooting Guide dead end

don’t know how “official” (can official in open source other licence) have entered dead end dilemma in following it.

if lay out steps maybe can see went wrong, suggest else or @ least suggest better documentation

2. quick check

1. computer turned off, insert wireless adapter suitable port/slot.
2. turn on computer , log-in if/when prompted.
3. open terminal window , enter following command: nm-tool

machine not seem have detected wifi dongle. if case 3.1 tells refer to

1. open terminal window , type:
lshw -c network

as can see no output.

so machine can see device, doesn’t donext!! whenever start again seem end here. again, maybe can see went wrong, suggest else or @ least suggest better documentation.
