Thread: Uninstalling forced architechture deb packages

hello,

have been using force-installed i386 packages, , uninstall them , use corresponding 64bit debs i've got.

i've tried uninstalling them ubuntu software center, synaptic, aptitude, gdebi, etc., none of seem able recognize or locate packages, though, when trying install 64bit packages, following:

code:
sudo dpkg -i nxclient_3.5.0-7_amd64.deb dpkg: error processing nxclient_3.5.0-7_amd64.deb (--install): nxclient: 3.5.0-7 (multi-arch: no) not co-installable nxclient:i386 3.4.0-7 (multi-arch: no) installed errors encountered while processing: nxclient_3.5.0-7_amd64.deb
anyone have ideas how locate, , eradicate "phantom" package?

thanks!

spent annoyingly large amount of time figuring out:

had have dpkg purge phantom files, reason though application removed dpkg database still maintains entries.

command fixed me.

dpkg -p nxclient:i386

enjoy!
