Thread: Dual Monitor Programming

there situation in need 2 programs wrote in c run full screen on 2 separate monitors using ubuntu server basic xorg installation (no window manager). when xorg launches, needs automatically execute , place 1 program in 1 screen, other in other.

here need configuring:

1. how tell basic configuration of xorg there 2 monitors? both of these monitors have different screen resolutions.

2. know how launch program automatically xorg's launch (xinitrc), , think launching more 1 requires put ampersand after first program command line in xinitrc, how program second program not overlap first 1 , instead appear on second monitor? using sdl , opengl libraries drawing interface.

1. /etc/x11/xorg.conf or think there way access size of screen although don't remember in xlib.

2. why want launch @ xinit time? or not want have users have window manager whatsoever? if need make x program appear on 1st monitor , 2nd on 2nd should give appropriate x , y coordinates @ launch.

still think making more complicated needs be.
