RoboHelp 10 questions

we looking @ trial version of robohelp 10, , there issues i'm trying handle on. (we use robohelp 8.) far working trial version couple of hours (and viewing few brief adobe videos) has not helped. of use robohelp 10 advise me on following?

 

• for years have generated webhelp , used topics on own, without using main "start" file, because wanted single frame, not tri-pane look. each topic has header include using templates/master pages. header includes icons work "back" button , links toc , index, print icon , search field. if user clicks toc or index, opens in main window instead of text previous topic. had hoped make screen layout approach (since interested in multi-screen layout tablet , desktop support), i'm still not seeing way simple topic window header. possible?
• i'm not seeing way create own screen layout scratch. seem have start 1 of layouts included. correct?
• if wanted able search across multiple generated projects, need merge projects?

nothing changes between 8 , 10 in respect. should still able generate did before. mention of wanting "screen layout" seems wanting delve fun brave new world of html 5. luck that! i'll have let willam or has lots of html 5 experience answer one.

i believe it's possible to create own layout. it's not the intuitive process , it's 1 hope adobe simplify in future build mere humans able create , customize our own html 5 layouts without requiring phd , 40 years experience coding html 5 , css. stands, it's not process faint of heart.

since first 2 questions seemed html 5 (multiscreen) centric, assume 1 falls area well? if so, again, willam or html 5 multiscreen skills have advise. i'm unsure if merging possible using output type.
