i tried upgrading 11.04 11.10, failed download of packages. when went updater after asked if i'd partial upgrade. accepted , started installing. after restart login screen seemed change gnome classic, once i'm logged in it's not. nautilus keeps closing unexpectedly , windows down have close button, things appear on desktop "stain" screen (they leave image of wherever drag it). think i've messed up. there anyway recover this? you know 11.10 still in beta stage, you? supposed developers , tester prepare future release. if tester opportunity report bugs developers may able fix problem. if wanted see state of 11.10 , think not worth it, may in bad position, since far know there way of downgrading in place 11.04. h folks, have little sound problem clean install of ubuntu natty. 1. old laptop used run xp, speakers/headphones worked before install (not output hardware problem) 2.clean install of latest version of ubuntu (11.04) 3. have no sound (no sound during booting, no sound effects, no sound playback (neither speakers, nor headphones) 4. checked sound levels using alsa-mixer, sound prefenreces , pulseaudio controller. nothing muted 5. went through various troubleshoots offered steps steps (btw, written!). laptop has integrated soundcard (realtek ac97 (rev 02) ad1981b) tried different fixes ac97_quirk adding them options in alsa-base (all details of setup @ http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=31...8574b5d4bdcabb ). nothing worked 6. odd when playback sound can see sound volume moving in relation sound should earing in pulseadio volume control (!) @ loss. has idea? thanks, david can hear using headphones? ...

this first time i've had problem joomla cache on v3.3.4. issues i'm having when enable cache under joomla configuration either conservative or progressive caching using "file", "apc" or "memcache" keep getting same results when load pages start losing display modules loss home page scrolling, if try scrolling down can't scroll. happens 2 5 minutes after enable cache. don't have "joomla - cache" or "jotcache" enabled situation. it's frustrating because i've run out of check list. 1. if disable , clear cache back. 2. checked folder properties right, correct. 3. i've tried xcache, memcache, memcached , apc issue still exists. 4. installed previous backup , still nothing 5. check php open_basedir restrictions it's setup correct. 6. have settings , configuration specified joomla documenation 7. i've browsed ipad, iphone , pc firefox, chrome, opera , same issue on all 8. when tested cache memcache, apc, x...

hi all, weirdest problem , seemed happen. have done searching nothing seems work. went save file directory on 1 of partitions , wouldn't let me. open nautilus root, right click partition , check permissions, owner 'root'. try change root user name , refuses. goes default 'root'. can't change though i'm logged nautilus root! can access files okay, read them, etc. occurring on ntfs partitions looks turns out , have heap (desktop box 4 3 drives). haven't changed fstab or else can remember. , ideas appreciated need work on box pronto , don't have lot of time fix it. eek. cheers. what have got in fstab file, can post? ntfs not support linux permission settings reason couldn't change via nautilus. way (without rebooting box) un-mount , re-mount drive creds want use. hello, kind , me tables in epub? want table without borders in epub. indesign:   settings of cells: or (does't matter one): epub: in html can see: if have eddited html code with: i can see table without borders in readers...   i need know i  wrong in indesign. thx lot help... ilja indesign not "e-pub editor". current functionality not *create* exact copy of work e-pub, it's there *facilitate* export existing content format worked on *real* e-pub editor.   to chnage table borders (and, indeed, *anything* regards table formatting), need open exported e-pub document , adjust css style document, , optionally html file. purposes, adjusting css enough. edit e-pub document, can use dedicated editor such sigil, or manually unpack, edit, , re-pack e-pub file. not straightforward, has few demands, has been asked before , quick google query show lots of ways so.
