hello all, need new installation , accessing data on old installation. query 1: -------- i've got new thinkpad sl410. intel core2duo t6670 cpu. intel 4 series express chipset gma display. got 4gb ram , 320gb sata hdd. earlier laptop, need dual boot. i've installed xp pro sp3 on main partition. wanted install ubuntu 10.04 lts 64-bit on other 40 gb partition. known issues of running 64-bit 10.04 lts on laptop ?? want experience 64-bit 4 gb of ram. xp install , run, sata has been set "compatbility mode" in bios xp not work ahci mode. query 2: -------- older laptop crashed mobo failure. hdd ok. removed it, put usb casing , attached windows machine. able access windows partitions on old hard disk. same thing possible ubuntu partition ? if make new installation 64-bit (the 8.04 installation 32-bit), can access data on ubuntu partition on old hdd ? there files on desktop , personal folders need access , copy o...

question nvidia drivers.... computer running has 1 gig graphics chip, yet ubuntu using integrated intell chip. looked under synaptic package manager , can't tell if driver activated. driver installed, "drivers" menu says not activated....how go doing this? hello , welcome use nvidia drivers , in case on 11.04 message caused bug . if driver not activated unity not work on hardware . nvidia x server settings installed , functioning . i had illustrator cs2 on old imac.  bought new macmini , not work.  purchased illustrator cs5 office depot , have installed on old computer first.  want copy on illustrator cs5 new macmini.  files illustrator cs5 need make sure copy on old imac new macmini?  , need deactivate illustrator cs5 on old imac before try active on new macmini?  (the illustrator cs5 purchased came on dvd , macmini has not dvd slot need copy files on new macmini without using adobe illustrator dvd installer disc).  thank help. you not copy, install. so, in other words, need copy installer files mac mini, not installed program. activations can manged menu , have 2 of them. until , running on new mac, there no urgent need deactivate on old mac.   mylenium More discussions in Downloading, Installing, Setting Up adobe

please see post , if can. thanks! guess question size of average raw , size of average xmp file?  if xmp file 1 - 10 % of raw file size gain? seems of advantage xmp have close size of raw file.  xmp quite small.   so gain space better served unneeded images or put them in cold storage.  hd space cheap now, , if comercial account storage cost effective if image needed in future.  if chance of future use slim have ask worth storage price me, or client?
