Thread: System freeze caused by java/flash

lately i've been having problems ubuntu 10.10 on hp dv5t. when load flash video and/or run minecraft (which of course runs on java vm) system freezes completely, meaning can't move mouse. hell can't reboot gdm or go console mode can kill buggy process, leaves hard reset.
don't see in syslog, can me find culprit, leads me believe it's kind of hardware malfunction. example hard drive, on found out has 8 bad blocks (on ext4 partition - dual boot ubuntu windows vista). can be?

ps: i'm running firefox 6.0.2 flash 10.3 r183.

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
