htaccess vs caching extensions - Need Help - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi everyone,
i have kind of noob question here. better cache joomla site .htaccess or caching extension jotcache.
also, if use extension jotcache there need set caching rules in .htaccess or viceversa? in other words, 1 or other kind of thing or mix of both?
thanks

these 2 different types of caching. can use them both.
.htaccess browser caching. caches resources css, js, fonts , images don't need redownloaded multiple times same visitor. improves loading speed when visiting same site again.
on page caching caches php , database output reduces server, database load , improves server response time. i'd careful using type of cache can cause issues extensions.
