how can i make custom column added to inbox sortable

i had requirement add custom column workflow inbox, able achieve without difficulty.

but have noticed custom column not sortable, against ootb columns.

not sure missing, in advance

in json, dont see different between ootb column values , custom column values

lifestage: "approve",

duedate: 1368769500000,

environment cq 5.5
