when scanning documents folder, after scan complete says scanned 4 files. not scanning child folders within top-level folder. there way can scan entire hard drive? need run root/sudo via terminal this?

select directory , specify / if want scan or whatever want specify.

though malware in general can infect linux machine rare due number of reasons, not cant happen @ though.

linux not suffer viruses other os, there no known viruses in wild, main reason using av on linux scan incase share files windows users.

can still suffer trojans, rootkits etc, comes down vigilence , making sure stick security model , not disabling passwords or enabling root etc.

common sense, dont tell system want unless sure etc. linux assumes know doing

in browsers can still suffer xss or csfr, other script related issues use things noscript plugin firefox, ad-block etc.
