Thread: Brother HL-2270DW printer driver install: Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit

second addendum: posts below 1 state brother 2170w driver works 2270dw printer, not recommending 2170w driver. have not used 2170w driver , not know if functionality lost using driver, several people in following posts report working, other posts quality not hl-2270w drivers. no 1 has reported problems hl-2270dw driver not case 2170w driver. if want use 2270dw driver, follow instructions below.

post on how setup brother hl-2270dw printer driver ubuntu 11.04 64-bit (update 02/23/2012 driver works in ubuntu 11.10 64 bit). printer has wifi capabilities , took me hours printer set properly. appreciate brother's linux support, not have 64-bit drivers on website. trying install standard 32-bit drivers resulted in installation errors , driver .ppd file not installed. have download bash script website patch 2 driver files before drivers install on 64-bit systems. below give links instructions on install , links patched driver files. patching driver files might challenge not comfortable command line.

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
