Thread: How do I fix these display issues

right im on ubuntu, been using windows last few months solved wifi problem im back.

have few issues don't know begin solve, nothing or detrimental things work, 1st 1 never had issue on windows, anyways here go, 2 problems in-particular

1) im running ubuntu off netbook hooked upto 32 inch tv, use tv play movies, set default monitor laptop screen, no matter program open opening on 32 inch screen obscuring movie, , have drag on laptop screen. why won't things open default on laptop screen.

2) i've got cube desktop set, except when use flipping screen on tv well, how can set screen on tv doesnt change can still use multiple desktops on laptop screen, again cause watch movies on screen , don't want changing whenever have bit of word processing.

in advance advice

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

uppercase letters in url - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello all, i in process of migrating joomla 2.5 1.5. 1 of categories in 1.5 version had capital letters in name. in joomla 2.5, uppercase letters in article/menu/category alias automatically converted lowercase. i tried changing menu alias in database, caused 404 error in category-blog page. i have been trying many days find solution, reason being many of pages category in 1.5 site have lots of facebook likes don't want lose. does work-around exist allow me manually change category/menu alias category blog page , articles have category name uppercase letters? any appreciated. thanks! you can 301 redirect uppercase urls lowercase.
