Upgrade appears to be incomplete - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,
one site left go 2.5.28 3.3.6.
backed live site , loaded backup on dev site.
extracted akeeba, no hitches (yay!)
went through packages, components, modules, plugins: removed unwanted, updated , ran update according instructions (https://docs.joomla.org/joomla_2.5_to_3 ... _migration). after upgrade had site looked using 2.5.28 admin template footer said 3.3.6. (see attached). front end white!
because dev site wasn't worried , deleted , started again.
the same has happened again pages work - rest (e.g. menu manager) white. (inspect element shows no code implying php issue according page - https://docs.joomla.org/joomla_2.5_to_3 ... ion_errors
curiously frontend home page working. set beez template. looks hideous, there. no menu can't go anywhere front.
