Liquify tools tear holes in image

hi all,

here's strange situation. 3 of students have had pucker , bloat tools in liquify tear holes in images. mean pucker hard transparent pixels appear @ liquify point. tools set on defaults -- not overly strong strength or rate.

 

what gives? 3 of culprits on windows machines... (mid 2011 imacs windows os).  students on mac had no problem.

 

oh, 1 of students problem having liquify tools creating tiny copies of whole image *inside* torn "holes"-- if image being turned inside out!

 

anyone else having this? can explain?
i found passing references on internet, nothing helpful.

 

 

edited add: i've noticed couple of weird things machines having problem:
the reconstruct tool , reconstruct button cause holes torn... tools, holes repeated run in nylon.

have updated video card drivers on machines?

have installed photoshop updates?

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
