Thread: runs fine from usb but not after install

i wanted try ubuntu before completly overwriting windows xp on old laptop create ubuntu usb image. when boot usb drive works. decided install ubuntu on harddrive. install completed no errors. computer reboot,i login, , seems hang on desktop. if click on desktop can see dialog boxes , menu items appear screen flickers fast not able read ( slow reader screen flicker 1 second or less). let me explian screen flicker. see desktop. screen isn't flickering white or black hzve read in few forum posts. not getting white lines. see ubuntu desktop entire time there no menu , no icons. if left or right click menus appear disapear quickly. installing ubuntu 11.04 on old hp laptop.

which hp talking of? especially, how memory , screen card have?

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
