Thread: Times New Roman font - cant tell if installed

this might sound silly issue cant tell if have times new roman font installed. searched software center , seem have installer package, in libreofiice cant find in font selector. have document has times new roman font , says in font box, when make new document cant find it. reason care compatibility microsoft office (only 1 in family uses ubuntu). how can tell if installed?

i think sans serif is times new roman. if not, might want type "ttf" in synaptic , through different fonts.

hi i trying upgrade joomla 2.5.27 3.6. have checked requirements (i've upgraded site), purged cache , gone short term support, when click save & close told (as before) have latest joomla version - not offer me joomla 3.6 (or else). have suggestions please? thank you c you can download joomla 3.x update , install manually using joomla's extension installer. don't forget create backup before doing that.
