How do I include the heading of the table of contents in the table of contents?

i preparing table of contents in indesign cs3 (macintosh osx 10.5.8)

 

i have added paragraph styles list of paragraph styles want appear in table of contents.

however, table of contents appear in table of contents:

 

in case table of contents placed on page 3, want this

 

 

table of contents:

 

title page....page 1

acknowledgements...page 2

table of contents ...page 3

table of figure...page 6

chapter 1...page 10

 

and on..

 

 

i have included paragraph style in list of paragraph styles want have appearing in table of contents. not result in entry in table of contents named 'table of contents'.

 

i grateful kind of advice.

thanks in advance

to add non-printing frame on page 3 , add words table of contents using 1 of styles gets picked up.
