Stuttering videos on Firefox 18 and Chrome

i updated flash player 11.5, , had bad surprise of seeing videos watch on firefox or chrome skipping tons of frames, image changes every 1 or 2 seconds. principally happens on hd videos (which never had problem playing before), , sound doesn't stutter (though quality strange). videos on hdd alright. tried 11.5 on ie9, , don't have problem (but don't want switch browser).

here tried:

  • going 10.3, 11.1, each time following uninstall procedure described on official site. tried 11.6 beta, no avail.
  • disabling , enabling hardware acceleration.
  • disabling , enabling microsoft silverlight.
  • testing wether it's flash player, html5 vid. results : html5 vids work great , smooth, non-html5 vids stutter.
  • testing 11.5 on ie9. results: videos alright.

which leads me believe problem surely flash player on firefox , chrome, have in common.

this frustrating, can't wait html5 take on flash player on web.

 

i'm using firefox 18.0.1, on windows 7 64 bits. can provide dxdiag if ask, post procedure please.

uppercase letters in url - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello all, i in process of migrating joomla 2.5 1.5. 1 of categories in 1.5 version had capital letters in name. in joomla 2.5, uppercase letters in article/menu/category alias automatically converted lowercase. i tried changing menu alias in database, caused 404 error in category-blog page. i have been trying many days find solution, reason being many of pages category in 1.5 site have lots of facebook likes don't want lose. does work-around exist allow me manually change category/menu alias category blog page , articles have category name uppercase letters? any appreciated. thanks! you can 301 redirect uppercase urls lowercase.
