Thread: Update Manager failing to connect

hi

have installed natty on new machine , can use apt-get update , install ok. update manager coming , telling me need install updates. when try though these errors: -

ideas why getting these errors when can update command line.

using proxy btw , have exported http_proxy, https_proxy , ftp_proxy environment vars in bashrc file.

need define them anywhere else?

i'm little puzzled update manager can see there updates install can't access them.

oops, sorry. checked morning , apt-get isn't working anymore...

can tell me how set use apt-get , update manager?

maybe mirror use has problems. did try changing different mirror?

hi i trying upgrade joomla 2.5.27 3.6. have checked requirements (i've upgraded site), purged cache , gone short term support, when click save & close told (as before) have latest joomla version - not offer me joomla 3.6 (or else). have suggestions please? thank you c you can download joomla 3.x update , install manually using joomla's extension installer. don't forget create backup before doing that.
