Thread: Evolution: Sync read e-mail

hi.

i'm using evolution e-mail on 2 computers running ubuntu. 1 home desktop machine, , other eee pc netbook. (versions 11.04 on desktop , easy peasy on netbook.)

problem read e-mail on both machines, , don't sync. everytime switch other computer, have check lot of e-mail read.

can set them sync read e-mail?

probably best solution use imap don't download mail either computer. failing that, 1 approach try change location evolution files stored somewhere in cloud, via service dropbox or ubuntuone.

on ubuntu 11.04, evolution stores files in ~/.gconf/apps/evolution/. if moved contents of directory on both computers ~/dropbox/evolution , symlinked .gconf/apps/evolution/ point location, should keep in sync.

i'd careful make sure versions of evolution you're using on 2 computers compatible, (or, ideally, identical). possibly screw things badly if try use same configuration files 2 different versions of evolution.
