Green screen problem in Windows 8 x64

as of yesterday, i'm having serious problems playing online videos flash player. every hd video (720p or 1080p) starts off buffering slowly, , not play @ until entire video has been loaded. then, few minutes video, video goes green, fast forwards end , makes crackling noises. sometimes, crashes instead. if video less few minutes long, green screen not occur, slow buffering , playing once loaded still happens. symptoms seem same described here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1074290?start=0&tstart=0.

 

i using:

- windows 8 x64

- intel core i7-3630qm

- nvidia geforce gtx 670mx

- firefox 18.0.1

- flash player 11.5.502.146

 

the day before, worked fine, , yesterday problem there. thing had happened during time installation of windows updates (the automatic updates of november, december , january). solution suggested here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4865912 not apply, not using windows 7 , not have 2 updates installed.

 

some of things tried, did not work:

- disabling hardware acceleration

- clearing browser history , flash player cache

- updating drivers

- uninstalling , reinstalling flash player

- intalling older version of flash player (there no green screen, instead video got stuck @ point green screen have shown - apart problems same)

- using different browser (internet explorer 10.0.9200.16466)

- removing said windows 8 updates (although there may of course deep parts cannot removed easily)

note example html5 video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctl3u6asd2w&html5=true runs smooth ever, while non-html5 version of same video has buffering problem mentioned (not green screen problem, video not long enough).

also note videos containing music , static image not seem have problems either (for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrfb1nsv47u), not buffering problem.

 

my laptop week old, problem fixed , appreciated.

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
