How can I hide a DIV on some pages? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i know, know... 'menu manager -> edit menu item -> page display options -> page class'

the div trying hide has id '#s5_header_wrap' , i'm trying hide on page menu item, such here:

i have tried putting ' myspot' in page class (with leading space , no quotes), firebug not show such classes on page. have emptied caches.

by way, have code in 'custom.css':

code: select all

div.myspot {
display:none;
}

will work? , on right track?

• create copy of default template
• edit index.php of copy remove div (or comment out <!-- <div> </div>)
• assign copy menu item
