Thread: Problem with .ICEauthority
after logging in, error message appears:
thencode:could not update iceauthority file /home/alistair/.iceauthoritythen, after pause,code:there problem configuration server: (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited status 226),code:nautilus not create following required folders: /home/alistair/desktop, /home/alistair/.nautilus.i've tried of advice here, including creating new user, had same problem on logging in.code:gconf error: no database available save configuration: unable store value @ key '/apps/nautilus/preferences/clutter_test', configuration server has no writable databases. [...]
when run ls -a in terminal in gui, shows access-your_private-data.desktop, readme.txt, .cache, .ecryptfs, , .private.
please help!
did change password root?
log in , fix this:
restart computer, don't log in. @ log in screen, press ctl>alt>f1. presented console. type:
<enter key>code:ecryptfs-mount-private
, enter previous password. press ctl>alt>f7 or ctl>alt>f8 if f7 doesn't work. now, log in.
once logged in, open terminal. type:
set new password.code:passwd
reboot. should able log in normal.
