trying compile c program in linuxmint 10. getting error below whenever try compile:
simple hello world program.


ch@linuxmint ~ $ gcc a.c
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc_s
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

can pls tell me solution.

sudo apt-get install build-essential

but mint questions better on mint forum if no luck here.
