Index links there but don't work

this book downloaded off of internet.

 

i see blue underlined links in index don't take me page.

there no page numbers in index problem.

also underlined headings in chapters index don't work either.

i see insertion pointer text editing on page in book.

no pointer or finger select something.

i don't deal pdf i'm not real savy.

 

do need turn on or what?
