Thread: Needing patitioning advice

im new hard drive , looking @ dual booting again windows times windows friends need assistance stuff , few other things im still finding easier in windows. im wanting documents on seperate partition actual os layed out below how think should work. know linux needs ext 2 or can files fat32 or windows can read them. guess in there somewhere need partition bootloader have far

partition file system label size
1 extended 54gb
2 linux-swap 4gb
3 ext2 / 50gb

4 ntfs windows 30gb
5 fat32 /home remainder

you should choose ext4 instead of ext2 else can go ahead partitioning scheme. not necessary reserve 50gb linux, doesn't hurt , depends on intend partition.
