Help with upgrading a current PC to video editing standards???
my current desktop school issue lenovo thinkcentre m80 following specs:
- intel(r) core(tm) i5 cpu 650 @ 3.20ghz
- 4.00 gb ram
- nvidia geforce 310
- 1x300 gb hard drive
- windows 7 32 bit premium
i don't have ton of money, got cs6 suite gift , hoping upgrade existing machine. using hd video editing , dslr photo editing. thinking adding/switching:
- geforce gtx 470
- 16gb total ram
- upgrade windows 8 pro
- 1-2 tb 7200 10000 rpm
will cut it? suggestions building entry level video editing machine on budget? should start scratch? thanks.
i hate discourge dual-core discontinued cpu. lga 1156 socket discontinued. avchd editing requires lot of cpu power , gtx 470 discontinued. go our premiere pro benchmark (ppbm5) website , if select model cpu tab , select i5 series see few i5-650's @ bottom of list. think should start on chance of editing hd media.
