Thread: Ubuntu host with Windows XP guest in VMplayer and Windows XP networked computer

being new ubuntu find myself in information overload , google searches close not close enough.

problem:
unable access networked windows computer ubuntu host or vm guest windows. both host , guest can see windows computer in network(ubuntu) , network places (guest). networked computer can access files on both host , guest without problem.

installed
ubuntu 10.04 host
vmplayer 3.14
windows xp professional sp3 guest
windows xp professional sp3 networked computer
samba installed on ubuntu host

workgroup = ctpr

error message
ctpr not accessible. may not have permission access resource.

permissions have been set on networked computer allow users read/wright access networked computer.

if can point me in right direction grateful

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
