mixdown drops volume - sounds different

before explain l/r logarithmic setting, that's not it!

 

i have film sound mix i'm trying export. of louder sounds smashed down around -10 db.

 

as test, i've been working on 1 door slam sound. there 3 tracks on top of eachother. 2 of them send straight master, 1 sends reverb bus, master. when play through in multitrack, master levels peak around -4 db, it's got lot of punch it, slam.

 

then mixdown... file->export->multitrack mixdown->time selection. i've attached settings image.

pretty basic stuff. exported wav sounds totally different. of sounds there, effects there, dynamic totally off. loud slam peaks @ -15 db.

 

does have clue what's going on?

well, first thing @ pan law setting you're working in (edit/preferences/multitrack top item on list).  there couple of options there how panning handled in stereo mix down.

 

however, have amount of cut you're getting sounds bit big there might specific transient door slam..
